Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue with the ‘Motion and Mode Lighting’ app. I’ve been using it to automate my bathroom lighting, and it’s been working perfectly except for one specific scenario. Let me walk you through what’s happening and what I’ve tried so far.
During the night, I set up a ‘Night Light’ scene where one bulb is off and the other is dimmed to around 5%. In the morning, from 6 am to 8 am, the system is supposed to switch to ‘Early Morning’ mode, turning both bulbs to 40% brightness using the motion app. However, only one bulb turns on, and the other remains off. It seems like the night scene is causing the app to respect the off state of the second bulb, preventing it from turning on in the morning.
I’ve tried adjusting the automation settings, ensuring both bulbs are correctly paired, and even resetting the app, but the issue persists. I’m curious if anyone else has faced this and if there’s a workaround or a setting I might have missed. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
