Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my smart lighting setup with some handy automation features. I recently came across the Shelly Dimmer 2 and was curious if it could work seamlessly with my existing Jung Tastdimmer 1711 DE for controlling my ceiling spots. After some research and tinkering, I managed to get them connected! It’s been a great addition to my setup, allowing me to dim lights effortlessly while keeping everything integrated within my smart home ecosystem.
One feature I’ve been wanting to implement is a morning coffee ritual. I’d love to set up a scene where my coffee machine starts brewing at a specific time, but I’m looking for a way to make it more flexible. Right now, I have four scenes set for different wake-up times (5AM, 6AM, 7AM, and 8AM), but I’d prefer a single scene where I can input the desired time directly. I’ve heard that some platforms allow user input within scenes, but I’m not entirely sure how to achieve this. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with local video storage on my Arlo cameras. It’s fantastic that I can store videos on the hub without a subscription, but I noticed that viewing the local library requires an active subscription. Is this a known limitation, or am I missing something? I’d love to leverage my local storage fully without additional costs.
Overall, my journey with smart home tech has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to continue exploring new possibilities. If anyone has insights on these topics or similar experiences, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
