I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I must say, it’s been an enlightening journey! Starting with my Hue bulbs, I’ve managed to create some beautiful scenes that really transform the ambiance of my home. However, I’ve hit a snag with some devices not showing up in the Smart Lighting app, even though they’re perfectly functional in other apps like WebCore and Alexa.
After some digging, I noticed that the devices in question are all listed on page 2 of my device list in the IDE. It’s a bit of a coincidence, but it seems like there might be a 220-device limit causing some devices to be excluded from the Smart Lighting interface. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this or if there’s a workaround to include all devices without hitting that limit.
In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with creating scenes manually using the new IDE. It’s a bit more involved than the old Scene Machine app, but with some trial and error, I’ve managed to pull off a few impressive setups. If anyone has tips or tricks for scene creation, I’d love to hear them!
Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore more integrations, especially with my Arlo cameras and Harmony remote. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see how my smart home evolves!
