Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating smart lighting using NFC tags. I recently purchased a set of Govee smart lights and an NFC tag reader, and I’ve been experimenting with customizing my lighting scenes.
Here’s what I did: I programmed the NFC tag to trigger specific color settings on my lights. For instance, when I scan the tag in the evening, it sets the lights to a warm, cozy yellow, perfect for relaxing. Scanning it again switches to a vibrant blue for movie nights.
The setup was surprisingly straightforward. I used the Govee app to define the color modes and then assigned each mode to the NFC tag using an alternative mode feature. I’ve been using this setup for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer for creating different ambiance settings without fumbling with multiple switches.
