I just wanted to share my recent journey with setting up some smart lighting and automations in my home. It’s been a mix of triumphs and learning curves, but I’m thrilled with the results so far!First off, I decided to upgrade my bathroom lighting with some sleek, color-changing LED recessed lights. After some research, I went with a model that allows adjusting the color temperature by simply flicking the switch—a neat feature that adds versatility without needing a smart hub. Pairing these with my existing smart bulbs has been a game-changer, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.However, integrating everything seamlessly wasn’t without its hurdles. I encountered a snag with one of my smart switches—it kept disconnecting from my hub. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue was with the placement of the switch, affecting the Wi-Fi signal. Moving it slightly resolved the problem, and now everything runs smoothly!Another highlight has been setting up a custom automation for my living room. I wanted the lights to dim gradually in the evening, creating a relaxing ambiance. Using my home automation system, I programmed the lights to start dimming at sunset and fully turn off after an hour of inactivity.
