Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with setting up smart lighting in my home. It’s been a mix of excitement and a few bumps along the way, but I’m thrilled with the results so far!
First off, I recently upgraded my bedroom lighting with a Govee Ceiling Light Pro. The installation was surprisingly straightforward, and the DIY possibilities with this lamp are endless. My family and I have spent hours experimenting with different scenes and effects, which has been a blast! The lamp even survived our attempt to use it on our covered patio, though I’d recommend sticking to indoor use as specified. It’s been a great addition to our space!
However, my journey hasn’t been without its challenges. I noticed that some of my Govee lights seem to fall off the walls when I’m away for extended periods. It’s a bit quirky, but I’ve learned to secure them better now. Speaking of quirky, I also tried setting up a smart lighting scene for my basement using a Shelly 1 and some sensors. It was a fun DIY project, but I ran into some connectivity issues initially. After some troubleshooting, I got it working smoothly, and it’s made a huge difference in how I manage the basement’s environment.
I’d love to hear from others who have tackled similar projects or have tips for improving smart lighting setups. Whether it’s troubleshooting advice, DIY hacks, or just sharing your favorite lighting scenes, I’m all ears! Let’s keep the ideas flowing!
Cheers,
The Smart Lighting Enthusiast
