Hey everyone, I’m trying to set up my smart lighting system using Philips Hue bulbs and a Google Home setup. I’ve managed to get the bulbs connected and they work perfectly when I use the Hue app. However, I’m running into some issues when trying to control them via voice commands. I’ve named one of my smart plugs ‘speaker’ in Google Home, hoping to use it for controlling my audio system, but it doesn’t seem to recognize the command. When I say, ‘Hey Google, turn on speaker,’ it either doesn’t understand or says the device isn’t set up yet. I’ve double-checked that there are no other devices named ‘speaker’ in my setup, and I’m definitely in the same room as the outlet. Strangely, if I say, ‘Hey Google, turn on outlet,’ it works every time. I’m a bit confused about why the ‘speaker’ name isn’t being recognized. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to resolve this? I’d really appreciate any advice you can offer!
