I recently set up a smart lighting system in my large living room using several Z-Wave switches from Honeywell. The goal was to create a seamless experience where double-tapping a single switch at one end of the room would control multiple lights throughout the space. While I managed to get most of the lights working as intended, there was one hiccup: the light directly connected to the switch I was using wouldn’t respond to the double-tap command. Instead, I had to double-tap and then single-tap to get it to work. After some research and trial and error, I discovered that adjusting the double-tap delay settings in the switch’s configuration resolved the issue. Now, a single double-tap activates all the lights in the room, including the one connected to the switch. It’s a small tweak that makes a big difference in the overall user experience. If anyone else is dealing with similar challenges, I’d be happy to share more details or tips!
