This year, I decided to fully embrace St. Patrick’s Day with some smart lighting magic! 
I’ve been experimenting with my Home Assistant setup, and I wanted to create a festive atmosphere for my friends and family gathering.
I started by setting up a series of color-changing LED strips around my living room, all controlled through my HA system. Using the MQTT integration, I was able to link these lights to a custom scene that transitions through shades of green, gold, and white. It’s amazing how much of a difference a good lighting setup can make to the overall ambiance!
One of the challenges I faced was ensuring the lights would stay on throughout the evening without any hiccups. I ended up using a combination of timers and motion sensors to keep everything running smoothly.
