I recently decided to upgrade my carport lighting system and decided to integrate it with my Homematic setup. I’ve been using Homematic CCU2 for my pool automation, and it’s been working perfectly for scheduling and temperature monitoring. Now, I wanted to extend this to my carport for a seamless smart home experience. Here’s what I’m planning: - Main Lighting System: I want a dimmable lighting system with motion sensors. The idea is to have the lights turn on gradually when someone approaches and dim back to off after a period of inactivity. This would not only save energy but also provide a welcoming ambiance. - Additional Lighting: I also want a manual override option for times when I need brighter lights for working under the carport. This way, I can easily switch to a brighter setting without affecting the automated system. I’ve been looking into the Homematic components that would best suit this setup. I’m considering using HM-LC-Dim1L-CV for the dimmable lights and HM-Sec-SCM-PI for the motion sensors. Does anyone have experience with these components and can share their insights or tips? It’s been a fun project so far, and I’m excited to see it come together. I’d love to hear from others who’ve done similar setups or have suggestions for improving the system. Let’s collaborate and make this as efficient and user-friendly as possible! ![]()
