I’ve recently completed my smart lighting setup, and I wanted to share my experience and some tips that might help others. 
The Challenge:
I wanted to integrate both GE/Jasco paddle switches and Govee LED lights into my smart home system. The goal was to create a seamless lighting experience with the ability to control brightness, color, and even set up scenes for different moods. However, I faced a few hurdles along the way.
The Solution:

Device Compatibility:
- I started by ensuring all devices were compatible with my Homey Pro system. The GE/Jasco switches (models 14291 and 46201) worked perfectly once added via the GE Enbrighten app. For the Govee lights, their app integration was a breeze!

Scene Creation:
- I discovered that saving light settings from the global tab to custom scenes was straightforward. This allowed me to create different scenes like “Relaxing Evening” or “Bright Morning” with just a few taps.

Double Tap Functionality:
- Initially, I struggled with getting the double tap feature to work on the GE/Jasco switches. After some research, I found that updating the firmware and ensuring the latest Homey app version were key to resolving this issue.

Energy Efficiency:
- I was pleasantly surprised by how energy-efficient the Govee LEDs are. They not only brighten up my space but also contribute to lower energy bills!
The Outcome:
My home now feels like a smart lighting showcase! The integration of these devices has transformed my daily routine, making it more convenient and enjoyable. I especially love how I can control everything from my phone or through voice commands.

- Start Small: Begin with a few devices and gradually expand your setup. This approach helps in identifying any compatibility issues early on.
- Regular Updates: Always keep your device firmware and apps updated to ensure optimal performance.
- Experiment with Scenes: Don’t hesitate to create multiple scenes tailored to your lifestyle. It’s a fantastic way to enhance your smart home experience!
