Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with you. I’ve been using Xiaomi Ceiling lights and Yeelight RGB bulbs, and it’s been a fascinating journey figuring out how to make everything work seamlessly.
One thing that really excited me was setting up a flow for my Xiaomi Ceiling light. I wanted it to turn on during the day when my Aqara motion sensor detects movement, and then switch to a moonlight mode at night. In the morning, I wanted it to simulate a sunrise. At first, it was a bit tricky getting the timing and brightness levels just right, but after some experimentation, it’s working beautifully!
For the Yeelight bulbs, I’ve been playing around with creating sunrise and sunset effects. I found that setting up a gradual brightness change over time works much better than abrupt changes. In the morning, I have a 15-minute sunrise effect that gently wakes me up, and in the evening, I’ve set up a sunset flow that can be triggered manually via the Yeelight app or voice commands.
Here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way:
- Start simple and test each part of your flow individually before combining them.
- Use the Hue app for color settings if you’re looking for more precise control.
- Don’t hesitate to reach out to the community for help—everyone here is super supportive!
I’m really enjoying how customizable these devices are, and I can’t wait to explore more features and integrations. If anyone has additional tips or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
