I’ve been experimenting with my motion sensor setup and wanted to share my experiences and questions with the community. My goal was to create a timeout program that triggers specific actions when the motion sensor activates the lights. However, I noticed that the timeout only works when the lights are turned on by the sensor itself, not when I manually switch them on or use the app. This has been a bit puzzling, and I’m curious if others have encountered similar issues or have suggestions for improvement.
I’ve attached a screenshot of my current Core program setup for reference. It seems like the program works as intended when the sensor activates the lights, but not in other scenarios. I’m wondering if there’s something missing in the piston configuration or if it’s related to how the motion sensor transitions from active to inactive states. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
In the meantime, I’ve been testing different configurations and documenting the results. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to see how I can optimize this setup further.
