Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with smart plugs and also ask for some advice. I recently purchased some Wyze smart plugs to control my coffee grinder, but I noticed that the timer function only allows me to set timers in minutes, not seconds. I’d love to be able to set a timer for 20 or 35 seconds to precisely grind my coffee without having to manually count the time. Does anyone know if there’s a way to customize the timer function on Wyze plugs or if there’s another plug that supports this feature?I’ve also been experimenting with creating scenes and automations in my smart home setup. For example, I’d like to set up a mode where my door unlocks and the security system disarms during the day (from 7 AM to 7 PM), and then switch to a night mode where only the front door lights turn on when someone arrives (from 7 PM to 7 AM). I’m not entirely sure how to structure the rules for this, so any tips or guidance would be appreciated! On a positive note, I’ve had great success with my smart cameras and lights. I recently added two outdoor Blink cameras to monitor my second home, and while the motion detection is working, I’m not getting any video clips when motion is detected. I’m wondering if there’s a specific setting I’m missing in the Blink app to enable this feature.Lastly, I’ve been exploring the use of GPIO breakout boards for more advanced automation projects. I’ve heard that there are community integrations for USB-connected GPIO boards, but I’m not sure where to start. If anyone has experience with this or knows of any good resources, I’d love to hear about it!Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from the community!
