Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to the smart home world, just started messing with Aqara stuff a few months ago, but MAN—figuring out morning automations was a total gamechanger for me.
I used to be the kind of person who hit snooze six times and ran out the door half-dressed with cold coffee. Now? Aqara’s got my back.
Here’s what my current setup looks like:
As soon as motion is detected in the bedroom (me stumbling out of bed), my bedside lamp fades on gently, kitchen lights come up warm, and the curtains open automatically if it’s after 6:30AM and my window sensor says they’re still closed. Feels like waking up in a fancy hotel.
Then my smart plug kicks on the coffee machine. By the time I’m in the kitchen, it’s already brewed. TOTAL win. If it’s below 15°C, the heater flicks on thanks to the temperature sensor. No fumbling with anything. It just… happens.
I’m still tweaking the flow, but honestly, waking up doesn’t suck anymore.
Curious: what are your “can’t-live-without” morning scenes? And does anyone have ideas for a “workout day” variant of this scene? Thinking about automating a reminder and maybe some hype music?
Would love to hear how you all start your day with Aqara!
