Hi everyone, I’m new to home automation and I’m trying to set up a SmartThings automation to play music on my Google Home or Google Mini. I have a Samsung SmartThings starter set and a Google Home/Mini. So far, I can control my lights via voice commands, which is great! But what I really want is to have music play automatically when my motion detector is triggered at sunrise or during a specific time slot.
Here’s my setup: I have a motion detector that turns on the lights in the morning, and I’d love for it to also play some music via TuneIn. I’ve tried looking into the SmartThings app and some online guides, but I’m not entirely sure how to connect the music playback to the motion sensor. Is this something that can be done? If so, could someone please guide me through the process?
I think it would be amazing to wake up to both the lights turning on and some nice background music. Maybe I could even set it up to play different playlists depending on the day of the week. I’m really excited about the possibilities, but I could use some help getting started.
