I recently purchased the SmartTag+ and have been trying to use the SmartThings Find feature within the SmartThings app. However, I’ve encountered some issues where clicking ‘Start’ in the app results in an error message stating ‘Network or server error. Please try again later.’ This has been quite frustrating as I was really looking forward to using this feature for locating my SmartTag+.
After some research, I found that others have experienced similar problems, often related to connectivity issues or temporary server problems. I decided to troubleshoot the issue step by step:
- Check Internet Connection: Ensured my device had a stable internet connection.
- Clear Cache: Cleared the app cache and restarted the app.
- Reinstall App: Uninstalled and reinstalled the SmartThings app.
- Factory Reset: Performed a factory reset on the SmartTag+.
Fortunately, after these steps, the issue resolved itself, and I was able to use the SmartThings Find feature successfully. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when new features don’t work as expected, but persistence pays off!
