After spending over two years with SmartThings, I’ve grown quite attached to its ecosystem. With around 80+ devices and countless rules set up using Core, it’s been a reliable companion. However, moving to a new home with a completely different layout meant I’d have to rewrite most of my rules. This was the perfect opportunity to consider an upgrade to the V3 hub and the new app.
I’ve heard about the stability improvements in SmartThings, which was a big plus. However, the lack of new features has been a bit disappointing. The promise of the new mobile app over 8 months ago still hasn’t materialized, leaving me wondering if it’s ever going to happen. Should I stick with SmartThings, or is it time to explore other options?
