Hi guys, is there any way to use/automate the Smoke Alarm as House Alarm? In case something or someone breaks into my house (e.g. Front Door locked, but Door sensor and/or vibration sensor sees action) Alarms are activated…
Thanks

That’s an interesting idea! I don’t think the smoke alarm is designed to be used directly as a siren for security purposes, but maybe it can be linked through automations in the Aqara app. For example, if a door or vibration sensor is triggered, it could send a command to activate the smoke alarm sound. Not sure if this works out-of-the-box, but it would be great if Aqara added this feature officially ![]()
Yes, exactly. I use Home Assistant and I am really disappointed, that there is no way to activate the Smoke Alarm on purpose (like pressing the external maintenance button). Yap, would be nice if Aqara added a way to activate this by Software
Hello @stanislav_vasic @marina_solujanova
This doesn’t work out of the box, and you can’t trigger the siren from smoke and gas detectors for events other than a gas leak or smoke detection. The siren can be implemented through automation with a hub with a built-in speaker (this applies to all hubs except the E1 and M100).
Nice!
Temporary solution for this would be to start a fire in case someone breaks in your house. Use T2 to light up gasoline can near your smok detector.

Haha, so a controllable fire starter is needed. That’s a good idea ![]()
