Looking for a device to listen for sound of US smoke alarm as trigger for Aqara security alarm since their smoke devices are not US approved. Any ideas how to do this? Many manufacturers have alarm listeners but not work outside their environment like Ring.

The Apple Home app does that unless I’m misunderstanding your question.
Several Aqara Cameras do the same if you activate the feature in the settings. like the G350 camera.

Apple can listen but not trigger any event. Simple functionality. No integration.
A notification is sent out, I’m not sure what else can be triggered to help more? Flashing a light maybe?
I guess I’m not following the missing parts yet.
You can’t make the smoke detectors to listen because they do not have such functionality more they are batterie powered and will only trigger the sirens when smoke is detected.also you can’t use smoke detectors as alarms for other then smoke detection.to have alarm into your home you need hubs like M3 M1S first and second gen also M2 or M200 witch have build in siren.sure is not like an real alarm sound but they are pretty loud in my case for my apartment.
From my understanding he wants a device that constant listen and when a specific sound is detected to sound the alarm but this can’t be done with smoke detectors.from what I know Aqara doesn’t have such device.with HomePods you can’t make them to detect an specific sound and trigger the alarm right?
