The G100 camera just received a software update, which, among other things, states that the issue I mentioned above may have been resolved. I noticed that the camera, even though it was in private mode, still switched between normal and infrared view. The clicking when switching quickly got on my nerves, so I disabled this feature in the “Video” settings. I’m curious to see how it behaves now. For software versions, see screenshots.

Yes, in privacy mode, all audio and video functions of the camera connected to Aqara Home will stop. It will not record video (including local and Aqara cloud recording), nor can it capture audio. You don’t have to be nervous when you hear the internal IR-CUT switching sound, but HomeKit is not limited by this mode. When your camera is connected to the Home app at the same time, it will still work normally. I think this is something you need to understand.
