Solving Flux LED Color Channel Issues and Sharing My Experience

I recently encountered an interesting challenge with my Flux LED RGB controller, and I wanted to share my experience and solution with the community. Hopefully, this can help others who might be facing similar issues!

The Issue:
I installed the SUPERNIGHT WiFi Wireless LED Smart Controller to manage my pool lighting. Everything seemed to work perfectly except for one thing—the red and green color channels were swapped. When I selected red in Home Assistant, the test strip turned green, and vice versa. This was quite puzzling!

The Investigation:
I tested this with two different controllers and even tried adjusting the settings on the LED strips. The problem remained consistent—red and green were consistently swapped. I reached out to the manufacturer for support, but the solution wasn’t straightforward.

The Solution:
After some research, I discovered that this issue might be related to how the controller interprets color channels. I found a workaround by manually adjusting the color settings in Home Assistant to compensate for the swap. It’s not an ideal fix, but it works for now!

This experience taught me the importance of thorough testing before fully integrating new devices into a smart home setup. It also highlighted the value of community support—without the insights from others who had faced similar issues, I might still be stuck!
