Hi everyone, I thought I’d share a recent experience I had with my Homey device. It started going offline consistently after I set up my LAN network across the property. I had installed around 300 meters of cable, which was quite a task given the old house without any conduit pipes. After struggling for a few days, I noticed that Homey couldn’t communicate with HomeKit anymore.
I decided to try adding two new routers to my setup, making it a total of three, to ensure strong coverage, especially in the garage. However, I accidentally enabled the option to manually set Wi-Fi channels on all three routers. Four days later, after endless frustration, I realized my mistake.
Switching the 2.4GHz network to channel 2 and the 5GHz to channel 100 made a world of difference. Homey has been online without any issues for the past 24 hours! If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, adjusting your router’s Wi-Fi channels might be the solution you’re looking for.
It’s amazing how a small tweak can make such a big difference. I’m relieved everything’s working smoothly now and can’t thank the community enough for all the helpful tips I’ve come across. Happy automating everyone!
