Solving SmartThings Outlet Restart Issue and Govee Light Sync Success

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with my SmartThings setup. I’ve been dealing with an issue where my Echo devices were restarting randomly throughout the day. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that it was related to an unlogged firmware check on my SmartThings outlets. Every time the firmware update check occurred, it caused the outlets to restart, which in turn restarted my Echo devices. It was a bit frustrating at first, but I managed to find a workaround by adjusting the firmware update settings on the outlets. Now, my Echo devices are running smoothly without unexpected restarts. :tada:

On another note, I’ve been trying to sync my Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite bulbs with my Apple HomeKit using Matter. Initially, I was running into some connection issues, but after resetting the bulbs multiple times and ensuring my Wi-Fi was set to 2.4GHz, I finally got them to work! It was a bit of a journey, but the result is worth it. The integration with HomeKit is seamless now, and I love how I can control them through my iPhone and Apple TV. :star2:

If anyone else is having trouble with device integration or unexpected restarts, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share more details about the steps I took to resolve these issues. Happy smart home tinkering! :bulb:
