Some items bought from China and some items intending to buy here in Cambodia

Hi I’m new here if anyone could give me advise on this?

I bought the locks and the bulbs from china, and I intend to get switches in
Cambodia. Can it be connected ?

@sh_aaron1989 Welcome to the Aqara Smart Home Forum! It’s great to have you here.

Regarding your question about connecting devices purchased from different regions, the Aqara Home app supports adding Aqara devices as well as third-party Matter devices. The key to ensuring compatibility is to confirm that your devices match the supported types, which include bridges, lights, thermostats, outlets, switches, buttons, and various sensors.

To connect your devices, open the Aqara Home app, navigate to the “Home” page, click the “+” icon in the top right corner, select “Add Device,” and choose “Matter Device” from the quick access options. Follow the on-screen instructions for a seamless setup.

If your switches purchased in Cambodia are compatible with the Matter protocol, you should be able to integrate them with your existing Aqara setup without any issues. Please ensure your devices are compatible, and feel free to ask any more questions as you set up your smart home. Happy connecting!

@sh_aaron1989 Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Currently, the reference information doesn’t have specific details on whether locks and bulbs bought from China can be connected with switches purchased in Cambodia. It might depend on factors like regional compatibility, communication protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Wi-Fi), and hub support.

If you’re looking for more clarity, you could try checking if all devices support the same communication standards (like Zigbee 3.0) and ensure they’re paired with a compatible Aqara hub. Also, the community might have members with similar experiences—feel free to share updates if you test it out!
