Stop Heating Aqara TVR E1

Stop Heating for Aqara TVR E1. What’s the meaning? This function makes sense? For which situation? Must it be active or not?

Is it correct to think that this function is used to deactivate the valve once the desired and set temperature has been reached?”

I will know which is the best setting for my device.

@gtxteo The “Stop Heating” function of the Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 is closely related to its core temperature control logic. According to its working principle, the thermostat automatically adjusts the valve opening based on the difference between the detected real-time room temperature and the set temperature. When the room temperature approaches the set temperature (i.e., the temperature difference becomes smaller), the valve opening degree will be reduced to achieve the effect of “stopping heating” and avoid continuous heating, thus keeping the room temperature stable near the set value.

Your understanding is basically correct—this function does involve deactivating (or reducing the opening of) the valve when the desired set temperature is reached. It is mainly used in daily temperature control scenarios to prevent the room temperature from being too high due to prolonged heating, ensuring a comfortable and energy-efficient user experience.

In terms of whether it “must be active”, this is actually part of the thermostat’s inherent temperature control mechanism and does not require manual activation separately. It operates automatically during normal use to maintain the set temperature stably. So you don’t need to worry about enabling it additionally; it will take effect by default when the thermostat is working properly.

So the “Stop heating” function in the settings must be on?

Hello, stopping the heating is “turning off the valve”. To make it easier for you to understand, this is the same On/Off button that is on the TVR E1 room panel. This function stops the radiator heating (clamps the valve) and stops the water circulation.
Personally, I don’t use it because it “eats” the batteries, it’s practically a mini calibration of the TVR E1.

Thanks @gafich10 for your answers. But I don’t understand why @AqaraBot explained the functionality of this function differently. That is, it does not turn off the valve completely but “suspends” it if necessary. Correct?

Yes, you got it right. And don’t mention the bot, because it won’t let us live.
