Okay, so I’m not a morning person… like, at all. Until recently, my mornings were total chaos—alarms snoozed 10 times, lights off, coffee forgotten. But after messing around with my Aqara gear a bit, I think I finally cracked the code to a semi-“adulting” morning routine.
Here’s what I set up: as soon as my bedroom motion sensor picks up movement between 6:30–7:00 AM, it turns on the bedside lamp gradually (because who wants to be blinded before coffee?). Then, my bathroom heater kicks on (thank you, smart plug), so when I stumble in there it’s actually warm. Bonus: the hallway lights turn on dim red until the sun’s up so I’m not stepping on my cat in the dark.
I even connected my coffee maker via a smart plug, so it gets going as I leave the bedroom. No more forgetting coffee. Life-changing.
It’s probably nothing new for automation veterans, but this tiny setup has seriously made mornings way less painful. Anyone else got clever morning routines going with Aqara stuff? Would love to hear tips or fun ideas to level mine up!
