Stuck on “the Aqara logo must be horizontal” during FP2 sensor setup. Help

Unable to get past this error during setup. Have tried factory reset and shaking the sensor as suggested on another thread to no success. Extremely frustrating

@kangrui_he I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with setting up your Aqara FP2 sensor. It sounds like you’re dealing with a persistent setup issue.

Firstly, ensure that the installation position of your sensor is correct. The message about the Aqara logo needing to be horizontal typically indicates that the sensor’s alignment is crucial for it to function properly. If you haven’t done so already, try these suggestions:

  1. Position Adjustment: Make sure the sensor is mounted either on the ceiling or wall as per the recommended method depending on your setup height. The Aqara logo should be parallel to the floor or ceiling.

  2. Reset Procedure: Since you’ve already attempted a factory reset, ensure that you press and hold the reset button for the full 10 seconds or until you hear a prompt indicating the reset was successful.

  3. Power and Connectivity: Confirm that the sensor is properly connected to power via the Type-C cable and that it’s within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as it doesn’t support 5GHz.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be helpful to reach out directly to Aqara’s Customer Service for more personalized assistance. You can contact them through the Aqara Home App by navigating to Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service, or by scanning the QR code provided in the app. If you don’t have an Aqara Home account, please click here to create a ticket.

Your patience is appreciated, and I hope this helps get your sensor up and running smoothly!

Please try to delete the Aqara Home app and reinstall it to try again. Or try to use another phone to connect see if such issue would be solved
