First, I flashed my Sonoff Zigbee Bridge with Tasmota 10.1 and added it to Home Assistant using ZHA. Pairing the Aqara Mini Switches was a bit tricky at first, but I realized that ensuring the Zigbee card was properly oriented was key. Once that was sorted, the pairing process went much smoother.
For those who might be struggling with similar issues, here are a few tips:
- Make sure the Zigbee card is inserted correctly, with the button facing the right direction.
- If pairing fails, try resetting both the bridge and the switch.
- If you’re using SmartThings, manually assigning the correct Device Handler can help avoid issues.
I also found that using the ‘Zigbee Lock Without Codes’ handler in SmartThings resolved some status reporting problems. It’s all about attention to detail and patience!
