Successful Integration of Shelly 2.5 and Camera Setup

I’m thrilled to share my recent success in integrating multiple智能家居 devices from different brands! :tada: I’ve been working on setting up a seamless system that combines theShelly 2.5 roller shutter controller with my Blink cameras, and I’m excited to walk through my experience and tips for anyone looking to do something similar.

First, let me talk about theShelly 2.5. I’ve been using it to control my roller shutters, and it’s been a game-changer! However, I encountered a peculiar issue where the shutters would occasionally return to their starting position after being closed. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that adjusting the obstacle detection settings and ensuring proper calibration were key. I also found that using the Shelly app for initial setup made the process much smoother. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend checking the firmware updates and consulting the troubleshooting guide in the app.

Now, onto my camera setup. I’ve been a fan ofBlink cameras for their reliability and ease of use. Recently, I decided to expand my system by adding more cameras, but I ran into a challenge with device IDs. Each camera needs a unique network ID, which seemed tricky since they all share the same IP address. After some digging, I realized that by creating separate devices in my SmartApp and carefully mapping each one, I could bypass this issue. This allowed me to maintain individual control over each camera without any conflicts. If anyone else is struggling with similar problems, I’d suggest exploring the SmartApp documentation or reaching out to the developer community for additional insights.

One thing I’d love to see more of is support for mounting kits, like additional clips or adhesive options, to make installation even easier. It would also be fantastic if there were more resources or forums dedicated to troubleshooting and sharing tips for integrating devices from different brands. If anyone has any questions or experiences to share about their own integration projects, I’d love to hear them!

Overall, this project has been a rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the supportive community that helps make these integrations possible. Happy tinkering! :bulb:
