Here’s how it went down:Earlier this week, I decided to integrate my Teckin smart bulbs with a Third Reality motion sensor to create a scene where the lights turn on and shift to a warm red hue when motion is detected. Initially, I encountered an issue where the scene failed to trigger, displaying an error message about the ‘hs_color’ value. Frustrated but determined, I spent hours troubleshooting and even duplicated working scenes to identify the problem.After some research, I realized the issue was with the color settings in the scene configuration. The failing scene was using an unsupported color value, which caused the automation to crash. By adjusting the color settings to a compatible value and simplifying the scene logic, I was able to resolve the issue. Now, the lights not only activate upon motion detection but also transition smoothly to the desired color, creating a cozy ambiance in my living room.This experience taught me the importance of carefully reviewing configuration settings and understanding the limitations of different devices.
