Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my smart lighting system with voice control using Google Assistant. After spending several weeks researching and setting up my devices, I finally managed to automate my lighting system seamlessly.
I started by purchasing a range of RGBW lights and corresponding smart switches. The initial setup involved connecting all devices to my home network and configuring them through the Google Home app. However, I encountered a few hiccups along the way, particularly with ensuring all devices were recognized and paired correctly.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was setting up automated routines. For instance, I programmed my lights to adjust their color temperature and brightness based on the time of day, creating a more comfortable atmosphere in the evenings and a brighter environment during the day. I also integrated motion sensors to turn lights on automatically when I enter a room, which has been incredibly convenient.
