Successful Integration of Zigbee Motion Sensors After Battery Change

I wanted to share my experience with integrating Zigbee motion sensors after changing their batteries. I recently switched the batteries in my Aqara motion sensors, and after doing so, my zigbee2mqtt setup couldn’t detect them anymore. At first, I was a bit puzzled and concerned, but I managed to resolve the issue without too much trouble.

Here’s what I did: After changing the battery, I realized that the device needed to be re-paired with the Zigbee network. I tried force-removing the device from my zigbee2mqtt setup and then repairing it. It took a few attempts, but eventually, the sensors were detected and paired successfully. I was relieved to see them back online and functioning properly.

I understand that sometimes after battery changes, devices might disconnect from the network temporarily. It’s a bit inconvenient, but knowing that I can manually repair them gives me peace of mind. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be happy to help troubleshoot or share more details about my process!

Overall, it’s been a good learning experience, and I feel more confident now in managing my Zigbee devices. Happy integrating everyone! :rocket:
