Successfully Configuring Dimmable Zigbee LED Lighting with Brightness Adjustment While Off

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with setting up dimmable Zigbee LED lighting. For a long time, I struggled with finding a setup that allowed me to adjust the brightness without turning the lights on, especially for nighttime use. I’m thrilled to say I’ve finally found a solution that works perfectly!

I decided to go with the MoesGo ZigBee Smart Alexa Dimmer, VARICART LED Driver, and YUNBO LED Strip Light. The key was connecting the dimmer to a physical switch and integrating everything into my Zigbee setup. After adding it to my Zigbee2MQTT configuration, I was amazed to find that adjusting the brightness while the lights were off actually worked!

This setup has been a game-changer for me. I can now create automations to dim the lights at night, ensuring they come on at the perfect brightness whether triggered by motion, a physical switch, or even through my home automation system. It’s incredibly satisfying to see everything work seamlessly together.

If anyone is looking to achieve similar functionality, I’d highly recommend this combination. The ability to adjust brightness without turning the lights on adds a whole new level of convenience to my smart home setup. Happy tinkering everyone!
