Successfully Configuring Shelly 2.5 Roller Shutter Position Display

Recently, I encountered an issue with my Shelly 2.5 Roller Shutter where the position display in Homey wasn’t matching the actual position. While the Shelly app showed the correct status, Homey was consistently off, which was quite frustrating. After some research and troubleshooting, I managed to resolve the issue and thought I’d share my experience to help others facing the same problem.First, I realized that the discrepancy might be due to how Homey interprets the position data from the Shelly device. I noticed that the percentages didn’t align—Shelly’s 50% was Homey’s 75%, and Shelly’s 0% was Homey’s 50%. This led me to explore the integration settings between Shelly and Homey.I started by checking the configuration settings in Homey. I discovered that there was an option to adjust the mapping of the roller shutter positions. By manually setting the percentages to match the actual positions reported by the Shelly app, I could correct the display in Homey. This involved some trial and error, but eventually, I found the right settings that aligned both systems perfectly. To ensure the solution was robust, I also reached out to the Shelly community and Homey support forums. It turns out that this issue is relatively common, especially when integrating devices from different manufacturers. Many users had successfully resolved similar problems by adjusting the position mapping in their Homey settings. In the end, my roller shutters now display the correct positions in Homey, and I can control them seamlessly. This experience taught me the importance of checking integration settings and not hesitating to seek advice from community forums. If you’re facing a similar issue, I highly recommend exploring the configuration options and reaching out to the community for guidance.
