Successfully Configuring Wyze Cam V3: A Step-by-Step Guide

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with setting up the Wyze Cam V3. I recently purchased two of these cameras, and while one connected seamlessly, the other gave me quite a bit of trouble. Here’s how I resolved the issue and got both cameras up and running smoothly.

Initially, I faced a problem where one camera would constantly show as offline with error 90, while the other worked perfectly. After some research and troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue might be related to interference between the two cameras. Here’s what I did:

  1. Reset Both Cameras: I started by resetting both cameras to their factory settings. This involved holding down the power button for about 10 seconds until the LED light started flashing.

  2. Check Wi-Fi Settings: I made sure my router was configured optimally. I switched from WPA3 to WPA2-PSK and ensured that both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands were enabled. I also placed the cameras in different locations to minimize interference.

  4. Reconfiguration: I uninstalled and reinstalled the Wyze app, then went through the setup process again for both cameras. This time, I made sure to follow each step carefully and avoid any rushed actions.

After following these steps, both cameras are now working perfectly without any interference. It was a bit frustrating at first, but methodical troubleshooting paid off!
