Successfully Connecting My Arlo Pro VMB4000 Base Station

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience with my Arlo Pro VMB4000 base station. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my base station went offline in the middle of the night. The power and camera lights were green, but the internet light wasn’t lit up. I tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested by Arlo, including a factory reset, but nothing seemed to work. The camera light turned amber after the reset, but the internet light remained unlit.

I decided to test the Ethernet connection directly to my laptop, and while it didn’t work initially, I realized that the issue might be with the Ethernet cable itself. After trying a different cable, the base station finally connected to the internet! It was such a relief to see everything working again.

I wanted to share this experience in case anyone else is facing similar issues. Sometimes, the simplest solutions, like testing with a different cable, can make all the difference. It’s also a good reminder to check all connections and cables when troubleshooting connectivity problems.
