Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with connecting the SM-SW101-ZC ZigBee Smart Curtain Switch to SmartThings. Initially, I was a bit unsure about whether it would work since it’s designed for Tuya Hub, but I decided to give it a try.
I started by researching online and found some helpful forums and guides that mentioned the possibility of integrating ZigBee devices with SmartThings. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I took it step by step. I downloaded the SmartThings app and made sure my hub was up to date.
The next challenge was finding the right device handler. I came across a few suggestions and decided to try one that seemed compatible. After some trial and error, I managed to get the switch recognized by the hub! It was such a relief to see it appear in the app.
I also wanted to mention the importance of checking the firmware and ensuring all components are up to date. Sometimes, a simple update can make a world of difference. I also found that resetting the device and the hub before pairing helped with the connection process.
Overall, it was a great learning experience, and I’m thrilled that my roller shutter is now fully integrated into my smart home setup. If anyone else is looking to do something similar, I’d recommend patience and thorough research. Happy tinkering! ![]()
