Successfully Fixed Wyze Camera Display Rotation Issue

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with the Wyze camera display rotation issue that I recently encountered. I’ve been using Wyze cameras for a while now, and they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, I ran into a problem where the camera feed was rotated 90 degrees on my mobile app and the web portal. This was quite frustrating, especially since I rely on the cameras for monitoring my property.

After doing some research, I found out that this issue is relatively common and that others have faced similar problems. I reached out to Wyze support, and they mentioned that they were aware of the issue and were working on a fix. While waiting for an official update, I decided to explore some temporary solutions.

I stumbled upon a helpful tip in the Wyze community forums where someone suggested adjusting the camera’s orientation settings manually. Here’s what I did:

  1. Access the Wyze App Settings: I opened the Wyze app and navigated to the camera’s settings menu.
  2. Adjust Orientation: Under the device settings, there was an option to rotate the camera view. I tried rotating it 90 degrees clockwise and counterclockwise to see which orientation corrected the display.
  3. Test the Adjustment: After making the change, I checked the live feed and was thrilled to see that the rotation issue was resolved!

This was a simple fix that didn’t require any technical expertise. I was able to correct the display without waiting for a software update from Wyze. I thought I’d share this solution in case anyone else is facing the same issue.

It’s always reassuring to know that the community is active and willing to help each other out. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the forums and provided tips that helped me resolve this problem!

I’m looking forward to seeing more updates from Wyze and continue enhancing my smart home experience. Happy monitoring everyone!
