Successfully Fixing Chromecast Issues with Google Minis

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with Chromecast and Google Minis. I’ve been using them for a while now, and they’ve been a great addition to my smart home setup. However, earlier today, I noticed that none of my devices were responding, even after a reset and initialization. It was a bit concerning, but I decided to tackle the issue step by step.First, I uninstalled Chromecast and reinstalled it, hoping that would resolve the problem. After reinstalling, I ran a device discovery, and it found my devices, but they weren’t showing up in my device list as they used to. I was a bit puzzled, but I remembered reading somewhere about checking the device permissions and ensuring everything was up-to-date.I spent some time going through the settings, making sure all the devices were properly paired and that their permissions were correctly set. I also checked if there were any firmware updates available for both Chromecast and the Google Minis. It turns out one of the Minis had an update pending, so I went ahead and updated it.After updating, I tried the discovery process again, and this time, all my devices appeared in the list without any issues! It was such a relief to see everything working again. I guess sometimes a fresh install and a good update can work wonders.
