Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating Alexa to play Pandora based on my presence. It was a bit of a journey, but I managed to get it working perfectly! Here’s how I did it.First, I wanted Alexa to start playing my favorite Pandora station when I arrive home. The challenge was making sure this only happens when I’m the one coming home and no one else. I decided to use my phone’s presence sensor for this. I set up a routine where Alexa checks if my phone’s presence sensor detects me at home. If it does, Alexa starts playing the specified Pandora station. To ensure it doesn’t trigger accidentally, I made sure the presence sensor is set to detect me specifically. Initially, I faced some issues with the presence sensor not detecting me consistently. After some research, I realized it was because of the way the sensor was configured. I adjusted the settings to improve accuracy, and now it works like a charm!Another thing I wanted was for Alexa to skip songs automatically. I noticed that saying ‘Alexa, skip’ wasn’t working as expected. After some troubleshooting, I found that enabling the ‘Skip’ feature in the Alexa app settings resolved the issue. Now, I can skip songs seamlessly while listening to Pandora.Overall, setting this up was a great learning experience. It not only enhanced my home automation setup but also made my daily routine more convenient. I hope this helps anyone looking to integrate Alexa with Pandora and presence sensors!
