Successfully Integrating Flic Buttons with Wyze Devices Without IFTTT

I’ve recently been diving into the world of smart home automation, and one of the challenges I’ve faced is integrating Flic buttons with my Wyze devices. While IFTTT is a great tool, I wanted a more seamless and direct integration, especially since I have young kids and prefer not to shout out commands to Alexa.

After some research and experimentation, I found a way to integrate Flic buttons directly with Wyze devices. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Direct Integration Setup: I started by ensuring both my Flic buttons and Wyze devices were connected to the same network. This was crucial for them to communicate without any hiccups.

  2. Configuring Flic Buttons: Using the Flic app, I set up specific actions for each button. For example, one button is programmed to toggle my living room lights, while another sets my Wyze Pan Cam to a preset position.

  3. Automation with Wyze: I utilized Wyze’s built-in automation features to link the Flic button actions to my devices. This allowed me to create a smooth workflow without relying on third-party apps.

  4. Testing and Fine-Tuning: I tested each button multiple times to ensure they worked as intended. It was a bit trial and error, but seeing the lights turn on with a simple button press was incredibly satisfying!

This setup has been a game-changer for me, making my home automation more intuitive and user-friendly. If anyone has questions or tips on integrating Flic buttons with other devices, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the smart home innovations flowing! :rocket:
