After some initial challenges with setting up Home Assistant using the Cloudflare AddOn, I wanted to share my experience and solution. I recently switched domains and encountered an issue where the Home Assistant Companion App couldn’t connect over the new Cloudflare tunnel. The error message I received was ‘The Home Assistant certificate authority is not trusted.’
