Successfully Integrating Logitech Harmony Hub with SmartThings

I recently decided to integrate my Logitech Harmony Elite with SmartThings to streamline my home entertainment setup. While the process had its challenges, I’m thrilled to share my journey and the solution I found!

Initially, I followed the instructions to connect SmartThings with my Harmony Hub. However, I encountered an issue where the setup screen indicated that my Harmony account was connected to SmartThings but lacked a ‘Done’ button. Instead, clicking the upload button led to an unreachable URL. After verifying that my firmware was up-to-date, I realized I needed to explore alternative solutions.

I reached out to the community and found that others had similar experiences. Through trial and error, I discovered that resetting both the Harmony Hub and SmartThings app resolved the issue. Here’s what worked for me:

  1. Reset the Harmony Hub: Unplug it for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Clear SmartThings App Data: Log out of my account, clear the app data, and reinstall the app.
  3. Reconnect: Go through the setup process again, ensuring all steps were followed meticulously.

This approach worked wonders! My Harmony Elite now seamlessly integrates with SmartThings, allowing me to control my multimedia setup through my Amazon Echo. It’s incredibly satisfying to have everything work together so smoothly.

If anyone else is facing similar issues, I highly recommend trying this method. Sometimes, a fresh start is all that’s needed. Happy integrating! :video_game::sparkles:
