Starting with the basics, I wanted to ensure seamless communication between devices. After some research, I discovered that using a universal hub like Homey Pro was the key to bridging the gap between Zigbee and Z-Wave devices. It’s been a game-changer for me, allowing me to control everything from my phone without any hassle.
One of the challenges I faced was setting up motion sensors to trigger audible alerts on my smartphone. I found that creating a custom rule in the Homey app did the trick perfectly. Now, whenever motion is detected, I receive a distinct tone, making it easy to identify which sensor was triggered. This has significantly enhanced my home security!
