Successfully Integrating Multiple Philips Hue Bridges with Google Home

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with integrating multiple Philips Hue bridges under one account. Initially, I was a bit confused about how to set this up, but I managed to get it working smoothly. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Understanding the Setup: I have two Hue bridges in my house, each controlling different sets of lights. I wanted to manage all of them through a single Google Home account. At first, I thought I had to use separate accounts, which was a bit frustrating.

  2. The Solution: Philips Hue has made it easier now by allowing a single email account to connect to multiple bridges. I just needed to ensure both bridges were properly set up and discoverable on my network.

  3. Step-by-Step:

    • Unlink the existing Hue account from Google Home.
    • Open the Hue app and make sure both bridges are in the same Hue home.
    • Go back to Google Home and link the Hue account again. This time, select the primary bridge, and Google Home should recognize all the lights connected to both bridges.
  4. Tips: If you’re having trouble, double-check that both bridges are on the same network and that their discovery mode is enabled. Also, ensure that the Google Home app is updated to the latest version.

I’m really happy with how this turned out. Now, I can control all my Hue lights from one place, which makes managing my smart home so much easier. If anyone has questions or needs help with a similar setup, feel free to ask!
