I’ve been on a journey to integrate various smart devices into my home, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! 
Recently, I faced a challenge with my Zigbee devices not responding consistently due to distance from the hub. After some research, I discovered that adding a Zigbee extender significantly improved connectivity. This little tweak has made a world of difference, ensuring my devices are always responsive!
Another exciting project was setting up my vacation home with smart technology. Using Amazon Show and integrating it with my existing smart devices allowed me to control lights, thermostat, and security systems remotely. It’s been a game-changer for managing the property without being physically present.
I also explored the Homie Button and Actors integration with PaperUI. Initially, I struggled with profiles not showing up, but after checking the device format and ensuring correct detection, everything fell into place. Now, I have seamless control over my smart switches and actors, which has streamlined my home automation setup.

For those looking to integrate multiple brands, I recommend starting with a solid hub like Homey or Hubitat. They offer excellent compatibility and flexibility, allowing you to gradually add devices without overwhelming yourself.
