I’ve been on a smart home journey for the past year, and I must say, it’s been quite an adventure! My setup includes a mix of devices from various brands, including Zigbee and Z-Wave, and I’ve been relying heavily on Hubitat to bring everything together. I wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else who’s trying to integrate multiple devices on Hubitat. One of the challenges I faced was getting my Bosch motion sensors to work reliably. They were great with SmartThings, but I kept running into issues with Hubitat. After some trial and error, I discovered that resetting the sensors and ensuring they were properly paired made a world of difference. Now, they consistently detect motion without getting stuck, which has been a huge relief.Another thing I wanted to mention is how I managed to set up my lighting system. I have a mix of Sylvania and Osram Lightify bulbs, and I’ve been using them alongside my Bosch sensors to automate my home lighting. The integration with Hubitat has been seamless, and I love how I can control everything from a single app.I also found that creating custom scenes in Hubitat has really enhanced my smart home experience. For example, I have a “Goodnight” scene that turns off all the lights, lowers the thermostat, and arms my security system. It’s little touches like this that make living with smart technology truly convenient. If anyone has questions about integrating specific devices or setting up custom scenes, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to share more tips and tricks. Happy automating! ![]()
