Successfully Integrating Multiple Video Doorbells on One System

I wanted to share my recent success in integrating both a V1 and V2 video doorbell on the same system. Initially, I was concerned about compatibility issues, but after some research and trial, it worked out perfectly! Here’s how I did it:

  1. Understanding the Requirements: My goal was to keep my V1 doorbell on the side door while upgrading the front door to a V2. I needed both systems to coexist without interfering with each other.

  2. Wiring and Power Supply: I upgraded my 10VA transformer to a 30VA to ensure both doorbells had enough power. This was crucial as the V2 requires more power than the V1.

  3. Chime Configuration: I used the existing mechanical chime for the V2 and connected the V1 to a wireless chime. This setup ensured no buzzing or interference between the two systems.

  4. Testing and Fine-Tuning: After installation, I tested both doorbells extensively. The V2 rings the mechanical chime without any issues, and the V1 triggers the wireless chime seamlessly. The integration was smoother than I anticipated!

This project not only enhanced my home security but also taught me the importance of proper planning and adaptability. I’m incredibly grateful to the community for the resources and support that made this possible. If anyone has similar plans, I’d be happy to share more details or tips!

Happy integrating everyone! :rocket:
