I’ve recently taken the plunge into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an absolute journey! 
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been busy setting up my new Wyze cameras and doorbells, all integrated seamlessly with my Hubitat ecosystem. It’s been a learning curve, but the results have been nothing short of amazing!
One of the standout features I’ve been experimenting with is the Person Detection on my Wyze V3 cameras. Initially, I was a bit puzzled because it seemed like the feature only worked when I had Motion or Sound detection enabled. After some digging and a bit of trial and error, I figured out that these settings need to work in tandem for the AI to detect people effectively. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between sensitivity and accuracy!
What’s been even more exciting is how effortlessly everything ties together with Hubitat. The integration has allowed me to create some pretty slick automations. For instance, when the camera detects someone at the door, it automatically turns on the porch light and sends a notification to my phone. It’s these little touches that really make your home feel smarter and more connected.
